The novel was a feature of Essence, O: The Oprah Magazine, The Grio, AALBC, Chicago Defender, Harriette Cole’s Dreamleapers, “All of It with Alison Stewart”, The Givens Foundation’s “Black Market Reads” hosted by Lissa Jones, Well-Read Black Girl Festival and AAMBC. Her work also appears in Black Renaissance Noire, Kweli, Mosaic and Winter Tangerine Review’s “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” for Trayvon Martin. She’s done true crime commentary for BET and TV-One. She is a Kankakee, Illinois native.
