Ruth Ellen Kocher

Ruth Ellen Kocher is the author of seven books of poetry, including Ending in Planes, domina Un/blued, winner of the Dorset Prize and the 2014 PEN/Open Book Award, One Girl Babylon, winner of the Green Rose Prize, and Desdemona’s Fire, winner of the Naomi Long Madgett Prize. She has been awarded fellowships from the Cave Canem Foundation and Yaddo. She is a contributing editor at Poets & Writers Magazine and professor of English at the University of Colorado where she teaches poetry, poetics, and literature.
