T. Geronimo Johnson was born and raised in New Orleans. His fiction and poetry have appeared in Best New American Voices, Indiana Review, and LA Review, among others. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and a former Stegner Fellow at Stanford, Johnson teaches writing at University of California–Berkeley. Welcome to Braggsville won the 2015 Ernest J. Gaines Award for Literary Excellence.
